The Bonded Zone Entrepreneurs Association (APKB) Yogyakarta Branch successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Ashwini Ballroom of Tara Hotel Yogyakarta. This event was attended by 35 representatives of Bonded Zone recipient companies under the supervision of Yogyakarta Customs, Magelang Customs, and Purwokerto Customs.
This FGD took the theme "Accountability of Bonded Zone Facility Recipients." This discussion served as a valuable forum for entrepreneurs within bonded zones to discuss and understand effective governance regarding the receipt of such facilities.
FGD participants listened to presentations and perspectives from various relevant parties, including representatives of Yogyakarta, Magelang, and Purwokerto Customs.
The theme "Accountability of Bonded Zone Facility Recipients" took center stage, covering critical aspects such as accurate bookkeeping obligations and tax compliance.
In his opening remarks, [Nama], Chairman of APKB Yogyakarta Branch, stated, "Balanced is not necessarily correct, but unbalanced is definitely wrong. That phrase does not only exist in accounting lessons, but is also relevant for those who receive tax deferral facilities. They have an obligation to maintain the right balance in administrative management and tax compliance."
The results of this FGD are expected to serve as a foundation for improving and enhancing the governance system within bonded zones.
With the theme "Accountability of Bonded Zone Facility Recipients," APKB Yogyakarta Branch aims to ensure that every facility-recipient company can carry out its responsibilities properly and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Of course, the role of Customs in supervision and assistance is also key to maintaining the integrity and sustainability of the facilities provided to business actors in bonded zones.
The event concluded with the hope that discussions and collaboration among related parties can continue, making a positive contribution to the development of bonded zones in Yogyakarta.
